Microphone check

See what Keystage hears from your piano, and record a sample so the note detection can be tuned to real pianos. Nothing is uploaded: recordings save to your computer.

  1. Put the computer where you'd play the game. Use headphones if you have them.
  2. Press Start microphone, then Record.
  3. Play slowly, one note at a time: C D E F G A B C from middle C, then C E G together, then a low C with your left hand, then a bit of any song.
  4. Press Stop, then Save recording. Send the two files back for tuning.

Have a MIDI keyboard? Plug it in and play it while recording (its own speakers are fine). Every key you press is saved as the right answer next to the audio, and the page scores the detector for you.
